Johnson Public Library belongs to the people of Hackensack—but unlike most public libraries, it also owns its building. So, while the Hackensack taxpayer more than adequately supports the library's ongoing operations, responsibility for major repairs, renovations, technology, and long-term improvements rests with the Library's Board of Trustees.
Thanks to careful planning and a generous grant from the Oritani Charitable Foundation, the library recently completed critical modernization projects by investing nearly all of its capital reserves.
Now we need your help to rebuild those reserves, so the library remains safe, welcoming, and ready to serve future generations.
