Johnson Library Foundation's mission is to support and empower the Johnson Public Library of Hackensack by fundraising and raising awareness of all that the library has to offer the community.
Mission
The Johnson Public Library Foundation exists to ensure the long-term strength, sustainability, and vitality of the Johnson Public Library. Our goal is to keep our library modern, welcoming, and responsive to the evolving needs of our community. Through fundraising and community support, we provide resources for capital improvements, facility upgrades, major repairs, and other critical needs that are not fully covered by the Library's operating budget.
To accomplish our mission, we need your help. Unlike most public libraries, Johnson Public Library owns its building and is responsible for funding significant maintenance, renovations, and infrastructure improvements. Community support is essential to ensure that the Johnson Public Library continues to offer safe, accessible, and inspiring spaces, along with the programs and services that enrich the lives of Hackensack residents.
