History

The Johnson Public Library Foundation was incorporated in March 2025 as a charitable organization dedicated to supporting the Johnson Public Library.  The Foundation was created in response to the Library Board of Trustees' collaboration with Plan A Consultants, who assisted in the development of a multi-year strategic plan for the library. As part of the plan, the library aims to modernize its facilities, optimize space utilization, and enhance its services to better meet the needs of the community, including special attention to serving the youth and teen demographic.

Statement

The Johnson Public Library Foundation raises funds to support capital improvements in Library facilities and to ensure the Library’s long-term financial security.  It strives to keep the Library modern, vibrant, and a vital resource for the Hackensack community.
